Floating Floors
Readyfloor, Kährs and Kährs Linnea
Floating Floors consist of a 4mm top or wear layer in which is machined onto a 10mm plantation hardwood resulting in a pre-coated, tongue and groove 14mm timber floor board. These floor boards are glued together using a Cross-linked PVA adhesive and installed onto a bonded, water resistant, foam underlay. The Flooring is allowed to float on the underlay and are not glued or nailed to the concrete slab. The advantages of the Floating Floor system is that the boards are pre-coated with no disruptive sanding or finishing needed. The flooring is usable after 4 hours. As these floors are installed onto a foam underlay, they have some “give” and feel softer underfoot.
